Celebrate the beauty of Brazilian dance, music, and ancestral storytelling with Viver Brasil, an acclaimed LA-based Afro-Brazilian dance theater company rooted in the rich cultural traditions of Salvador, Bahia. Uplifting, vibrant, and deeply spiritual, this performance features high-energy choreography, live percussion, and soulful vocals led by Felicia “Onyi” Richards, bringing to life the rhythms and spirit of Afro-Brazilian heritage.

Rooted In Peace: A Gathering for Healing & Restoration
Join ONYI LOVE (hosted by KILBRI) for a restorative moment of collective solace and healing. Through a mixed-modality approach—potentially incorporating sound, energy work, ritual, somatic practice, prayer, and meditation—Onyi will hold space for attendees to experience sweetness, peace, and soothing. As we navigate the complex challenges facing our city, nation, and planet, gathering to hold and be held is essential to our resilience and transformation.
Mutual Aid Efforts
This mutual aid offering is a direct response to ongoing ICE raids in Southern California and is anchored in KLBRI's commitment to collective healing and mutual aid as essential responses to state violence. Through this circle, we create space to nourish our spirits, regulate our nervous systems, and support one another with tools that strengthen our energy and capacity to continue showing up for our communities.
This workshop is especially intended for frontline advocates, educators, mental health professionals, organizers, and anyone holding space for impacted families and protest efforts.
This event is donation-based. No one will be turned away for lack of funds.

Samba Roots: An Afro-Brazilian Journey with Viver Brasil
Step into a vibrant evening of movement, music, and ancestral memory with Viver Brasil, Los Angeles’s premier Afro-Brazilian dance theater company. Renowned for its electrifying performances and deep cultural storytelling, Viver Brasil brings the rich traditions of Afro-Brazilian dance to life through powerful choreography, live percussion, and transformative stagecraft.
In this special performance, audiences will journey through the roots and rhythms of samba, exploring its spiritual lineage and celebratory spirit through dances inspired by orixá, forró, and bloco afro traditions. International Society of Black Latinos presents Creating Wellness In the Community
Join the International Society of Black Latinos for “Creating Wellness in the Community” on June 7th, a vibrant event dedicated to fostering health and connection through culture. Experience an inspiring day filled with live music, dance, thoughtful panels, and delicious food—all designed to celebrate culturally rooted approaches to mutual support and healing.

As the equinox approaches and spring with it, we welcome the longer days and the growing warmth of the sun. This month, amidst the downpour in Los Angeles, we've been drawing inspiration from the ways we keep each other dry and cozy with the gentler aspects of fire:

Spring Equinox Healing Ceremony
Event Title: Spring Equinox Healing Ceremony

Join us for a collective moment to alchemize the old and create space for the new as we welcome in the Spring Season. Utilizing a mixed-modality approach that includes sound, laying of hands, ritual, body awareness, somatic practices, and movement, Onyi will hold space for attendees to experience activation, breakthrough and integration across the spectrum of their bodies.
No matter where you are along your self-discovery and healing journey, you are invited to contribute to and harness the energy generated within this experience to catapult you into the next phase of your metamorphosis.
Please arrive by not later than 7:20pm
Preparation:
1. Set intention: Meditate on/ask your bodies what you are ready to alchemize, release, birth, etc.
2. Food/drink: For as many days prior to the event, stay hydrated and eat well for yourself–whatever that looks like for you and your body. If you are able, level up your diet up in some way.
3. Bring the following:
- Mat and/or blanket
- A small-medium empty bottle/container (with a lid) that can hold water
- A journal
- Something that represents/symbolizes what you are ready to release (you must be ok with it not being returned)
- Attire: Wear clothing you can move/be moved in and don’t mind getting a little wet if water is incorporated. Light colored, if possible white clothing, is encouraged.
Bio:
Felicia “Onyi Love” Richards (aka Onyi) is a multidisciplinary creative, multimodality healer, Iya Ọṣun and Ọbatala, and teacher. She is a consultant for Healers, Leaders, and Creatives desiring to show up in the fullness of their being for the collectives they serve. Onyi is a member of the LA-based Ifa community Ile Orunmila Afedefeyo, led by Awo Falokun Faṣegun and Iya Fayomi Ọṣundoyin Egbeyemi, under the Adesanya Awoyade lineage, of Ode Remo, Ogun State, Nigeria. In all she does Onyi brings the energies of grounding, illumination, clarity, and upliftment, reminding people of their joy, peace, and permission to just be.

Yoruba Earth-Based Systems Lecture & Workshop
On March 18, 2025, Felicia “Onyi” Richards, Osun and Obatala priestess and collaborative speaker for Regenerative Systems, presents a lecture and workshop exploring Yoruba Earth-based systems and spiritual ecology.
This immersive session is offered for students of Cal Poly Pomona’s Lyle Center for Regenerative Studies in conjunction with the College of Environmental Design. Participants will learn traditional and contemporary Yoruba concepts, frameworks for environmental stewardship, and ritual practices rooted in ancestral knowledge.
Onyi brings deep expertise in Yoruba spiritual lineages and integrative approaches to regenerative systems, offering attendees both practical and spiritual insights for cultivating balance between human and environmental systems.

Hola friends and familia,
Amidst the holidays, the new administration, and the subsequent fires in Los Angeles where we're located, we've been resting, recovering, and taking care as much as we can. We hope you and yours have been safe, cared for, and sheltered.
We had different plans for the end of the year and for transitioning into 2025; we're recalibrating and responding to the moments that just keep coming. The way we get through this is together.
One of the adjustments we've made is to our upcoming series of Care Rituals community clinics. These monthly clinics will run through April and are geared towards building community and offering restorative services in the wake of the fires and the intensifying systems of oppression.
We find moments of stillness, and we still move.
We regroup, and we still move--not for the sake of moving but to affirm that we are alive.
We grieve, and we still move--towards each other and towards visions of liberation, charted and uncharted.

Please have an items connected to or representing each of the elements Water, Air, Earth, Fire with you if possible.
Examples/suggestions:
💧Water: container of water, any blue/aqua object
🌬️ Air: hand fan, feather, any clear or multi-colored object
🌍Earth: house plant, potato, soil, rock/stone, any brown/green object
🔥Fire: candle (handle with care), red pepper, any red/orange/yellow object
*Alternative for all: Writing the words “Water”, “Air”, “Earth”, “Fire” on small strips of paper or drawing a picture of them will suffice
