Love is Love | Light is Light
Love sees and allows for the spectrum of all.
Light allows for what is hidden to be seen.
They both show up.
SHOW UP.
Pause and reflect...
What does it mean for you to show up with love or light?
Where do you resist either one?
What might you need to surrender in order to receive their true gifts?
Which version of “light” do you fear—and why?
Years ago, I told a client over the phone that they had a short window left to show up for an appointment they had scheduled—but were trying to skip out on just moments before the session was supposed to begin.
When they arrived, I told them: “Don’t ever do that again with me.” I was kind, and I didn’t collapse into niceness about it. It didn’t matter what excuses they gave, nor that they cried a river after I said it. And they cried throughout the session. It was good for them—because they needed the release.

The energy moving through me in that moment was beneficial for both of us. It required me to express compassion through that particular response, in light of everything I was seeing—including the part of them that often chooses to collapse into victimhood and shame, and any residual parts of me that coddle or enable people to avoid hurting their feelings or ego. Either of us choosing to align with old scripts would have obscured the parts of us that are empowered—the parts required for healing to occur. I am grateful we both showed up and chose courage over anxiety.
We both showed up.
My love and light to myself—and to them—allowed for that experience.
I stay with love and light in all the work I do, even if it shatters one’s notions of who I am and what those words and concepts mean. If you want something else, there are plenty of folks who will give it to you.
I send you love and light as you seek them out.
From my perspective, the behavior and languaging around these two L’s within new ageism and faux spirituality—plus the subsequent resistance to it, and the desire to transform the systems of oppression humanity has created and perpetuated (that have harmed all of us)—has opened the doors for confusion and conflation around these terms, energies, and spaces… and what it actually means to sit with, hold, and utilize them.
Love can absolutely look like lighting someone up—and demonstrating to them the injustice, consequences, or truth of their actions.
[Shedding] Light is absolutely necessary in order to see those things we may be unwilling to face—within and outside of ourselves—so that we can actually heal them.
The impact of Love and Light can feel painful. And that good hurt may be exactly what one needs to catapult them into a breakthrough and joy they may have never known—without the sacrifice of their ego and feelings.
Me and these L words (through my reflection) are asking us to shift our perspective about them… so we can surrender to them as we need them.
No sooner, no later.
No more, no less.
Otherwise, we may sit in another L we don’t actually prefer: Loss. Lack. Lies. Limitations. Loneliness.
Are there others that come to mind—ones you don’t want to invite or entertain within your energy field?

Before you go… I invite you to reflect.
These aren’t rhetorical questions. They’re living ones—meant to open portals, soften resistance, and illuminate where love and light are still calling you forward.
What does “Love and Light” really mean to you—and who taught you that?
Where are you being called to show up differently—even if it feels uncomfortable?
What emotions or beliefs are keeping you aligned with L’s like lack, limitation, or loneliness?
How do you discern between surface-level “niceness” and deep, embodied compassion?
Take a breath. Feel into what’s true for you.
And if you need support walking through the doorway… I’m here.
