Do you experience acute or chronic noise sensitivity?
Is your emotional or mental wellbeing disturbed by unexpected extreme sounds?
Are sudden or alarming sounds triggers for your PTSD?
If you answered yes to any of the above questions, navigate other undesired experiences related to sonic vibration, and are seeking different solutions to bring soothing and ease, this resource is for you.
Whether it's fireworks, sirens, construction, or other sudden loud noises, these sounds can feel deeply unsettling—especially for those who are spiritually sensitive, neurodivergent, or navigating past trauma. This guide offers nervous system regulation tools, energetic protection rituals, and spiritual insights to support you before, during, and after exposure to loud or explosive sounds.
Why I Created This Offering
I love my home—it has been a refuge, sanctuary, and in all other ways a blessing since moving there. However, one thing I don’t prefer about some residents in my neighborhood (or those nearby) is their eagerness to set off fireworks at all hours—not just on typical holidays like July 4, but also on the days leading up to and following them.

Though I found this behavior frustrating, I had become somewhat accustomed to it. I’d brace myself during peak times and let it go when it happened sporadically.
That changed in 2020—during the global pandemic, lockdowns, and the collective grief and upheaval sparked by the murder of George Floyd. My tolerance shifted to rage at what felt like deep individual and collective inconsideration, disconnection, and disrespect. I was shocked that people would contribute to such massive disturbances—across physical, emotional, and spiritual ecosystems—when so many were already swimming in despair, confusion, and uncertainty.
While the sheer audacity of humanity still inspires the occasional eye-roll, I’ve been learning not to feed negative energy. Instead, I aim to neutralize it—and where possible, transform it. Rather than take to the streets (literal or digital) to complain, I created this guide to support those in need.
As a spiritual practitioner who is also sensitive to sound, I offer this contribution to the growing library of resources that help bring more peace. Take what resonates, leave what doesn’t. Everything isn’t for everybody—but the willingness to learn from everything may just open (or heal) something you never considered could be.
A Note on Discernment and Personal Responsibility
I am not a medical practitioner. The suggestions offered in this guide are based on intuition, personal experience, and consultation with trusted practitioners. Please trust your own guidance and consult with professionals you rely on before making any changes to your wellness routines.

Healing the Deeper Story of Sound Triggers
Sometimes, our reaction to sound is not just about what is happening now but is connected to past trauma or unresolved experiences. Healing those roots can shift our current responses in profound ways.
Suggestions:
Work with a therapist or counselor to navigate past trauma.
Receive bodywork, energy work, or shamanic healing.
Consider a PureBioenergy, Sound Immersion, or D.N.A. Activation for guided spiritual support and healing.
A Ritual for Sound Clarity and Emotional Integration
This ONYI LOVE ritual can help reveal what unconscious beliefs or memories may be fused with your response to certain sounds.
Step-by-step Practice:
While breathing steadily, sit with a sound you don’t prefer—listen to it for no more than 9 seconds.
Say: “Spirit, reveal to me any experience, memory, or belief that has been fused with this sound in a way that is clear to me.”
Sit in silence or meditate for 1 minute. Document whatever arises—emotions, physical sensations, thoughts, visions, or memories.
Repeat steps 1–3 two more times.
Speak a message of gratitude to the sound and to yourself for the illumination.
Upon waking the next day, pay attention to any insights or messages that arise. Everything can be part of your greater awareness.

You’ve Got This
Life on Earth contains all the things—sounds, senses, circumstances, and situations. Humanity has cultivated and continues to perpetuate ways of being that aren’t always aligned with, nor considerate of, us, other beings, or this beautiful planet.
Still, I firmly believe that if we are here, it’s because we chose to be—here to teach, to learn, and to remember something important. Whatever your struggle is with sound—no matter how others may handle it—can be transformed into something meaningful. Ask yourself:
What am I learning through this experience that I otherwise wouldn’t?
What can I do with this?
Make sound your ally, your teacher, your friend. In doing so, you may open up a whole new way—and world—of hearing. One that transforms not just you, but all of us.
A Note on Privilege and Prayer
I recognize the privilege I currently have—not only of living outside areas bombarded by disturbing sounds on a continual basis, but also of not having to endure a life where such sounds are either the least of my worries or signal danger to my well-being. My thoughts, prayers, and heart are with all beings and lands experiencing terror as a result of the choices we humans make to negate and devalue ourselves, then project that pain—across a spectrum of degrees—onto others. I vow to do my part: to continue changing myself, taking action, and demonstrating to others what is possible, so that we may heal individually and collectively—transforming the past, present, and future.
