Onyi Joins Women’s Voices Now Advisory Board

Women’s Voices Now (WVN) welcomes Felicia “Onyi” Richards as the newest member of their Advisory Board.

WVN is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that uses film to drive positive social change that advances girls’ and women’s rights globally.

Onyi’s relationship with the organization began in 2019 when she was the subject of the documentary “ONYI: The Path to Finding Me” —a production of Girls’ Voices Now (GVN), a Women’s Voices Now Summer Youth Program focused on empowering the next generation of women and femme-identifying activists, filmmakers, and feminists—by then students Tamara Sims, Elissa Fong, and Brigette Barrales.

Since then, Onyi has supported the organization through being a guest facilitator during each year’s GVN program and attending various WVN events—panel discussions, film screenings, ad other events. During her sessions with the students of GVN, she has provided workshops on self-love, self-development, and other related topics to help them shift perspectives; and also energy healing and spiritual work to assist them in moving through various challenges they face.

Onyi is excited about the opportunity to collaborate with the current board members to support the ongoing work and overall mission of the organization.
