For me, ritual is engaging in any set of actions with mindfulness for the purpose of creating a framework, a structure that holds space for illumination to occur. For light, insight, information to ground itself. To be reflected and thus create reflections that remind me of who I am. Reflections that remind my consciousness of what it knows…

Preparation

  • 1) Document in some way (journal, voice recording, message to a friend for accountability) the actions you will take to treat your body well.

    2) Document in some way who/what is or will be included in the care team or tool box you will utilize for support during this ritual.

    *Those working with Onyi more in depth will be given opportunities to sit in counsel (whether in a group setting or 1:1 to discuss and receive feedback and additional resources.

  • Journal about the following questions:

    1) Who do I prefer to be?

    2) What am I ready & willing to surrender, sacrifice, integrate and transform?

    3) What does a version of me in more peace and joy look/feel/sound like?

    Those working with Onyi more in depth will be given opportunities to sit in counsel (whether in a group setting or 1:1) to discuss and receive feedback and additional resources.

  • 1. Foríbalẹ̀ (touch your head to the ground) for 3 seconds

    2. Give gratitude for yourself

    3. Give gratitude for the following that you view/relate to *positively* or *neutrally*:

    - 1 person (living)

    - 1 person (non-living)

    - 1 place/location

    - 1 thing/object

    - 1 experience/situation/circumstance

    Pick a consistent time to do this daily.
