Sending you all so much sweetness, wishes of joy, and peace as you ground into the space(s) of you at this moment in what we experience as time. 2022 was a lot of things. Heck, the first few days of this year have been too! I’m still processing it all, while simultaneously sitting in a place of readiness and excitement for Life to continue life-ing (as it always does), and for me to share myself from a new place of lightness.

Speaking of new…I’d like to announce that my website has undergone a complete TRANSFORMATION! Y’all, I am so in love with it! From the aesthetics, to the functionality, to how it gives a view into the rich layers of who I am and what I do…it just feels so good. It is one reflection and expression of my molting and metamorphosis, a healing journey that has been years in the unfolding.

As I review 2022, I am in awe of and congratulate myself for everything I experienced and accomplished, including…

• Turning 40!

• Doing spiritual work with my mother and reimagining our relationship

• Releasing an ocean of grief

• Sweetening my relationship with men

• Slowing down and resting deeply

• Holding hands with my joy and engaging in more play

• Breaking through old/limiting beliefs around abundance and finances

• Celebrating the 3 year anniversary of my initiation into Ọṣun and Ọbatala

• Receiving a new Ifa name while in Nigeria

• Attending 3 powerful film and tv screenings

• Having a pleasant experience on dating apps and deleting them after once they served their purpose

• Launching my Heal the Healers initiative

• Finalizing new sound-based resources to be shared this year

• Taking private dance/movement lessons

• Officiating my first wedding

• Putting together the core creative team for a film project I’m producing

• Participating in a table read in front of an audience

• Performing music from my album Songs of Soothing live (in person) for the first time since its release in 2020

• Building a new website

• Offering COVID specific healings

• Performing in Monterrey, Mexico

• Utilizing new assets as part of my re-branding

• Speaking and doing energy work at a college near San Francisco

• Conducting sound immersions in person and virtually

• Being a part of 3 music releases

• Holding space during the initiations of my god-siblings

• Forgiving, accepting, and allowing myself and others to be

While I can’t quite put my finger on the bigness I sense, what I am certain of is that I’m here for it. I’ve prepared to be here.

I invite you to take a moment to sit with all of the changes that have occurred in your life up to now. Make a list as I did above to remind yourself that you did that! Give yourself kudos for the courage you’ve stepped into and work you have put in to being more of who you are. Claim your healing! You chose it and thus called it into being. The reflection of you sitting firmly in the knowing called “I am healed” is revolutionary. It is also a powerful trigger for others and reminds them that they have permission to do the same. Our evolution is interconnected.

May we all trust Life and ourselves, and the choice(s) we made to be with each other here and now. We are so freaking powerful and it’s time we re-membered and acted so.

We deserve it. We are worthy of it. We came here to experience it.

Once a day or once week this month…

1. Choose a spot within or just outside of your home or a location you frequent often.

2. For a minimum of 10 seconds, breathe steadily while observing everything around you—really taking it all in (refrain from judgement).

3. Say the following phrase 1 time:

   Every single part of my being is brand new at every single moment. 

   I choose to live and see the worlds from this place of newness. 

   I am grateful for the opportunity to do and be who I truly am.

4. Place your right hand on your forehead and left hand on your heart and close your eyes for 10 seconds

5. Open your eyes, take a moment to ground, and then walk one full circle (or along the perimeter of a space) within or outside of your chosen location starting from and ending in your same spot.

6. Place your right hand on your forehead and left hand on your heart and close your eyes for 10 seconds

7. Open your eyes, take a moment to ground, and for a minimum of 10 seconds, breathe steadily while observing everything around you—really taking it all in (refrain from judgement)

8. Say the following phrase 1 time:

   Every single part of my being is brand new at every single moment. 

   I choose to live and see the worlds from this place of newness.

   I am grateful for the opportunity to do and be who I truly am.

9. Give gratitude to yourself and everything around you.

10. Document your experience somehow (i.e., write, draw, record a voice memo…)
